Evaluation of Biomass Deployment Programme

Between 2007 to 2009, the Department of Education installed low carbon biomass plant into 14 schools throughout Ireland as part of a pilot programme to determine the suitability of this technology in the educational stock.

We were tasked with completing a full evaluation of these site including an overall assessment of the success of this project and translating these findings into policy and feedback to the Dept of Education.

From these findings they were able to determine the optimum solution for each of the schools and to aid construction professionals on the processes they need to be aware of to ensure successful integration.
